I help couples and neighbors stay out of court and find their own solutions.
My name is Mollie Berliss, and I'm a mediator for divorce, family, and housing-related issues. I used to be conflict avoidant myself, until I realized the physical, emotional, and financial toll it takes when we don't talk about things. A small issue or misunderstanding quickly escalates into a dozen new problems, and it can be so much harder to recover emotionally, especially if the legal system is involved. I pivoted to mediation to offer an alternative, more collaborative solution that gives clients more agency over their future, while saving time, money, energy, and even relationships.

I have a Master's degree in Developmental Psychology from Columbia University, and I am a Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 31 trained mediator for family and civil disputes. The first half of my career included leadership roles in organizations serving children and families in housing, educational, recreational, and community-based settings. In 2020, I helped launch Nashville's Vision for Holistic Youth Development. Prior to becoming a mediator, I led marketing, communications, and strategic planning initiatives in city government.

I guide couples, parents, and exes through divorce and family issues, and I also mediate landlord-tenant, neighbor-to-neighbor, and HOA-owner disputes. I am a member of the Tennessee Association of Professional Mediators, I volunteer with the Nashville Conflict Resolution Center, and I serve on the board of the Lion's Head Condo Association.
